Hey there
I'm a software engineer, because I enjoy problem solving and I think tech is a good way to apply this to different aspects of human existence.
While building software, I sometimes nerd-snipe myself with
- figuring out how to express complex ideas in simple easy-to-understand ways
- using the type-system to make bad/wrong code harder and good/correct code easier to read and write
- building a deep understanding of the things I'm building, and who I'm building it for
Outside of software engineering, I'm also interested in:
- Cognitive science: how "thinking" works, and how to apply the brain more effectively
- Practical philosophy: raison d'être?
- PC games (Factorio, StarCraft 2, DOTA 2...)
My favourity quotes:
- Some day in the future, someone will have the very last thought/memory of you, for the very last time...
