Remembering maximized window states doesn't properly work on multi monitor laptop setups upon unplugging

Hello, I like this script a lot! The only thing that is annoying me is that when I have a maximized window on an external monitor and then shutdown my pc. When I then start the pc again without the external monitor the window spawns in the old size and doesn't adjust. 
My idea for a fix would be a maximized window state that takes precedence over size and position if set/found.
