This is because trigger technologies are not wanted in SB however hiding that technology breaks all subsequent technologies added by other mods which have said tech as a prerequisite.

Yes and no. It does address it for the specific technologies bob-electronics and automation-science-pack but not for all possible techs which require electronics. I would much rather set bob-electronics to be electronics (from basegame) or something similar. This is better for compatibility since more techs depend on the base game technologies rather than modded technologies.
The other option would be to dynamically move all dependencies during data-final-fixes. But that only works if SB is loaded last. Not really sure how to address this, still need to think about it more.
