Chinese IME composition deletes preceding text in code cells on Google Chrome

Discription

I came across this problem when i am using a Chinese IME in https://codemirror.net/try/ in chrome.

When i try to type in chinese, the text/code immediately preceding the cursor gets deleted. The Chinese IME i am using is microsoft Chinese IME. The problem persists in a Chrome Incognito window, however it does not occur when i use microsoft edge.

I am using chrome 148.0.7730.2

Reproduce

1. Open https://codemirror.net/try/ in chrome
2. Use a Chinese IME (e.g.,microsoft chinese ime) and start to type in chinese right behind the English code
3. The end of English code get deleted.
   ( and if you try to type chinese in the middle of a code cell, more content get deleted)

Operating System and version: Windows 11
Browser and version: chrome 148.0.7730.2

In which editor (left or right) on that page are you typing when the problem occurs, and where in the document? Also what are you typing (keys pressed, in which order)? I tried to reproduce this on Chrome stable (146) but could not get anything odd to happen.

i think this is a new problem
i have been using jupyter notebook for a long time but this issue occured just recently

Okay, strange. I installed Chrome Canary (version 148), but I still cannot reproduce this. Are you seeing any errors in your JavaScript console when this occurs?
