Welcome to this repository! If you are interested in contributing to the website, this GitHub issue contains what you can do. The list below has been ordered from easiest to hardest. These are not exhaustive, and all kinds of contribution are welcome.
Check out the issue list itself to see what you can do, especially ones that are labeled
good first issue
Good for newcomers
(easier ones) and
help wanted
Extra attention is needed
(all requiring help).
Report content issue
See something wrong on the website? Please report these issues by creating an issue on this repository. You can also send it on https://scratchaddons.com/feedback, but this is not recommended due to the amount of feedback regarding the extension.
Add and update addon images
Possibly the easiest way to contribute directly is to add and update addon images. The images will be used on the highlight section on the index page and the Addons page, as well as other places such as the Scradd bot on the community Discord server.
You don't need to configure anything else. Just submit an appropriate image on the issue and we will review it. Read more how to do it on the issue linked above.
Translating
The website is open for translation just like the extension. Please join the localization team as explained on the first link, and read how to translate the website on the second link.
Write for us on the blog
If you can write articles, we welcome your post suggestions in our blog. Please create an issue or PR. You can send a draft directly in form a PR, or discuss first if a topic is adequate on an issue.
Write the Addon Docs
The Addon Docs is relatively new and has long ways on completing it. You can help with this, given you know plenty about Scratch Addons and the addon that you want to write. You can either create new pages, or improve existing pages. A review will still be done to ensure correct information is written.
Write the documentation
Experienced or technical users and developers of Scratch Addons are welcome to complete the documentation, or add new documentation that might be relevant.
Rewrite the website/create the new website
Know what it takes to elevate the website further? This is more ambitious, but if you have such skills to do it, rewrites of the website are welcome. Please read the discussion linked above.
