Cannot work properly on the Windows 11 desktop

v4.4.0 cannot work properly on the Windows 11 desktop, You need to switch to the desktop from the File Explorer to use it properly.

Desktop:

• OS Version: [e.g. Windows 11 25H2]
• QuickLook Version: [4.4.0 from MSI installer]

I also encountered the same problem and I did not use a third-party desktop.

Although I have used desktop beautification software, I have uninstalled them. And I haven't used any desktop file organizing software.

I uninstalled QuickLook and reinstalled it, but it didn't recover.

I just reinstalled the operating system not long ago and haven't installed any third-party desktop software. Will using PowerToys have an impact?

@emako Peek has even more and more serious bugs. It just won't pop up while using it, and there's no response when pressing the space key on the Windows desktop.

@harvestrain Well, I understand, but based on years of feedback, desktop issues are almost always caused by user-side factors rather than bugs in QuickLook itself.

I'm using windows 11 and I have installed both Quicklook and Peek (Power toys). They don't conflict with each other as I'm able to preview files on my desktop with either one.
