Summary

We need a dedicated signup/registration page for the MAAP platform to streamline the onboarding experience for new users.

Problem

Currently, new users lack a clear, self-service path to register for MAAP access. This creates friction during onboarding and increases the support burden on the team.

Proposed Solution

Create a dedicated MAAP signup page that:

• Provides a clear call-to-action for new users to request access
• Collects relevant information (name, institution, use case, etc.)
• Sets expectations for approval timelines and next steps
• Links to documentation and getting-started resources

Motivation

• Reduces friction for new users discovering MAAP
• Standardizes the information collected during registration
• Improves discoverability and first impressions
• Reduces ad-hoc access requests through informal channels

Acceptance Criteria

• Signup page is publicly accessible without requiring prior authentication
• Form collects sufficient information to evaluate access requests
• Users receive a confirmation after submitting a request
• Page is linked from the main MAAP documentation/landing page
• Mobile-friendly and accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA)

Can reuse existing form displayed when logging in via the hub.
To add, the first step for any user to signup is to have an EDL account and then accept MAAP EULA and then request a MAAP account. So this page should also cover that.
