Describe the bug
After having trouble with weird battery charge flipping behavior for years (see this thread), I upgraded from 3.07 to 3.09, to see if the problem maybe got better.
Instead, I now get extremely unreliable and bogus battery usage and charge data
For short bursts of time, the battery or charging circuit reports (dis)charging up to several KILOwatts, or charging status ranging from a couple thousang negative percent to a couple thousand positive percent.
Or just not reporting any battery status at all, causing my system to assume the battery is suddenly empty and asking if the system should be shut down.
I've attached some screenshots from my prometheus node_exporter data.
The spikes you see are the short blips of bogus data.
Steps To Reproduce
Using the laptop
Expected behavior
A properly reported power usage and charge status
Screenshots
Suddenly reporting 6% charge, removed the charger, after a couple minutes no battery at all is reported to the system, and suddenly it shows up again with proper charge level.
Almost 400k% negative battery charge. Impressive
At least it can also charge at over 2 kW, reaching over 200k% charge
