Should be optional and the hosting app should decide.
Without email addresses, it's impossible to get back to users and ask for details or test fixes.
Pre-filling the email address could help. This would require access to the user's CNContact card. This in turn would require requesting read-only access, including a Privacy Manifest, I guess :/
